Why Willie Is Running

Serious responsibilities deserve serious leadership

The Constable’s Office performs serious responsibilities that can affect people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Willie Jones believes those responsibilities should always be carried out professionally, lawfully, efficiently, and with respect for the dignity of every person involved.

As Constable, Willie will work to ensure that court orders are executed responsibly, legal documents are served efficiently, employees are properly trained, and members of the public receive professional and courteous service.

The law must be enforced fairly, without favoritism and without allowing politics or personal relationships to determine how citizens are treated.

Professional Service. Fair Treatment. Respect for Every Citizen.

Campaign Priorities

Willie’s Commitment to First City Court

  • Fairness

Every citizen deserves equal treatment and professional service. Court responsibilities should be carried out consistently, lawfully, and without favoritism.

  • Professionalism

  • Accessibility

Residents, attorneys, property owners, tenants, court personnel, and members of the public should be able to obtain information and communicate with the office efficiently.

  • Compassion

Enforcing the law and treating people with dignity are not conflicting responsibilities. Willie believes both should guide the work of the Constable’s Office.

  • Efficiency

Technology, training, communication, organization, and sound management should be used to improve service delivery and office operations.

Service With Dignity

Enforcing the law and honoring people are not opposites

Serving legal documents, executing court orders, carrying out lawful evictions and seizures, and assisting the court are serious responsibilities.

Willie Jones believes these duties must be performed professionally while recognizing the dignity of every person involved.

Residents, property owners, tenants, attorneys, court personnel, and members of the public all deserve courteous and respectful treatment when interacting with the Constable’s Office.

The responsibility to enforce the law should always be matched by a responsibility to treat people with dignity.
